This is a Blue Morpho Butterfly. i am not certain where it comes from, but this is the killer….we chased these butterflies all over the butterfly house trying to get a picture of them with their wings open. If and when they landed, it was always with their wings closed. Finally we gave up. This is what they look like with their wings open ~

Just lovely! We haven’t seen many butterflies at all this year. I did find one that had bitten the dust…I brought him to Belle and she managed to keep it on her bookshelf for about three days…then it bit the dust again! lol!

I have to say I am a bit partial to Nick’s photos as well. I started letting him use the camera and I noticed most of his photos were far better than mine. At first I thought he was just lucky, but it continues to be the case. So now I just let him take all of the pictures.
