   I’d have had a butterfly shot again this week except to get to my camera I had to disturb the butterfly from the door it had settled on.

    My son took this photo. We were at an old mill and the butterfly kept landing in various places in the parking lot. I can’t recall ever seeing a butterfly like this in person, so I was really hoping we would get a shot. We had followed him for some time, and I was starting to feel like it was a waste of time. I told my son we needed to move on because there were other things to do. He said “hold-on, Mom. I’m going to get him.” So I stood behind him while he crept up on the butterfly for the last time and took this shot. Maybe the butterfly was as tired of of flying away as we were chasing him.
